1. Log in to your cPanel.

2. Under "Files," click on the "FTP Accounts" icon.

3. Enter the login user name you want to create.

4. Enter and re-enter the password for this new account (you can use the password generator to create a strong password). Be sure to make a note of the new password somewhere!

5. Assign a directory to this account. The account will only be able to access this assigned directory and its sub-directories.

6. Click the "Create FTP Account" button.

Your new FTP account is ready to use. You can access FTP with any standard FTP client e.g., FileZilla. Remember that your FTP server is located at the IP address that was given in your "Hosting Account Welcome" email. It can also be connected to via yourdomain.com once your DNS information has propagated for your site (usually 24-48 hours after you make the DNS changes).
